ANNA BELL ROSS SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be in the Department of Human Sciences with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
ANNIE AND WILLIE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP – Two scholarships to be awarded; one is a general scholarship for a student with financial needs and the other for a physically-challenged, mobility-impaired or re-entry student.
ATMOS ENERGY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be a resident of an area served by Atmos Energy in Mississippi; must have 40 or more hours of volunteer service during semester and participate in civic or social organizations.
BEATRICE J. AND SIDNEY S. BOOSE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be a graduating college senior who has been accepted to a graduate degree program in the area of Psychology or Education. The recipient must have at least a 3.0 grade point average to qualify for the award. The applicants must write a brief essay which describes his her plans for graduate school and career.
BETA GAMMA BOULE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and and ACT score of 21 or higher. Recipient must be involved in outside community/extracurricular activities and have demonstrated leadership skills. Recipient must be a resident of Hinds, Madison, Rankin, or Claiborne County and must provide a one-page statement on how he/she plans to use his/her chosen profession to improve the quality of life for humanity.
C-SPIRE SCHOLARSHIP – Entering Junior; majoring in Business Administration, Computer Science or Applied Mathematics. Must have a 3.00 or better GPA, a U.S. Citizen, resident of Mississippi and recipients are recommended to the committee by the department chairs.
CARNELL LEWIS & FAMILY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Recipient must be enrolled in the School of Education & Psychology or the School of Arts & Sciences majoring in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, or a medical-related major and have at least a 2.75 GPA.
CHARLES AND THEODORA BOSTON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Incoming freshman from West Marion High School (Foxworth, MS), East Marion High School (Columbia, MS), or Columbia High School (Columbia, MS) with a 3.0 or better GPA.

DR. JESSE J. LUCAS SCHOLARSHIP FUND: – To provide an annual scholarship for a needy African-American student who has graduated from a high school in Jefferson Davis or Lincoln County and has majored in Technology Education or Mathematics Education with the intentions of obtaining teacher education certification. The student selected must have a high school GPA of 2.75 or higher and a composite ACT score of 18 or higher. The student must earn a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA in their first semester and be in good standing with the University.

HATTIE M. GARNER SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be an African American male from the city of New Orleans, Louisiana majoring in Political Science and must have graduated from a public high school in New Orleans. This recipient must have a minimum of 20 community service hours through his church or other community outreach organization and must have a 3.3 or better GPA and an ACT composite score of 18 or better. This recipient should also have aspirations to become a federal lobbyist, lawyer, Capitol Hill staffer, member of Congress, state representative, city councilman, or work for a nonprofit that focuses on social justice issues. The recipient must submit a 300 word or more essay in response to the following question: Over the past 4 to 6 years, a greater focus has been put on social justice issues (i.e. police brutality in the Black community and economic disparity between Black and White communities). Understanding this, if you were given the opportunity to meet with President Biden and Vice President Harris to discuss issues of social equality and police reform, what policies would you recommend and why?

HONORS CAMPUS ALL-STAR CHALLENGE SCHOLARSHIP – The student must have been enrolled at the university for at least one academic year, must be in good standing with the university, and must have need of financial assistance. The student must have maintained a cumulative average of 3.5 and above. A non-scholarship student who is a member of the Campus All-Star Challenge team, whose cumulative average is less than 3.5, may be given special consideration for this scholarship. This student must have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the campus tournament and must have exhibited great potential as a member of the team. The University Scholarship Committee will be responsible for screening the recommended applicants and the selection of the recipient. MEDGAR WILEY EVERS SCHOLARSHIP (ASU National Alumni Association) – 3.0 GPA or a composite score of 20 on the ACT for entering freshmen.
MILDRED HOLMES CROCKETT SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be an Education major from Washington, Sharkey, or Issaquena County, Mississippi with a 2.75 or better GPA. Recipient must be involved in community services and student organizations with aspirations to teach in public schools.
MISSISSIPPI RURAL REHABILITATION CORPORATION – Full-time sophomore, junior, or senior student in the School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences; Mississippi residents; 3.0 GPA or higher.
MONTGOMERY-CARROLL-GRENADA ASU ALUMNI CHAPTER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be an Education major with a 2.75 or better GPA and 21 or better ACT score or 1060 or better SAT score. Recipient must aspire to be an elementary or secondary education teacher.
NICHOLS-VAUGHN SCHOLARSHIP – Full-time junior or senior elementary education major or a full-time graduate student already certified to teach at the elementary level in Mississippi; high school graduate of a public school in Coahoma, Tallahatchie, Bolivar, Quitman, Washington, Tunica, Leflore, Sunflower, Panola, Humphreys or Issaquena county; 3.0 GPA; active involvement in two (2) extracurricular, civic or community activities; show a commitment to holding a teaching assignment in a public elementary school in the Mississippi Delta.
NINNIE PRATER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND – Recipient must be an entering freshmen with a composite ACT score of 21 or above. Recipient must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above. Recipient will be selected on the basis of need as determined by Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); Recipient must be an African American. Preference given to a resident of Wilkinson County interested in pursuing a degree in the Department of Education, Department of Industrial Arts, Department of Science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics) or Department of Mathematical Sciences.
NISSAN SCHOLARSHIP – The scholarship shall be available to students majoring in a science-oriented curriculum which provides a strong background in the biological-environmental biology, chemical-environmental chemistry, physical sciences – soil and water sciences. Must be accepted to the academic program for Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and the Master of Biotechnology at the university and be certified by the Dean of the school regarding his or her potential to complete the rigors of the program; have achieved at least a 2.5 GPA at the high school level; maintain at least a 2.5 GPA while in the program.
O.W. MOSES SCHOLARSHIP – Student with 2.5 or better GPA who plans to become gainfully employed upon completion of bachelor’s degree.

RISSAH TEMPLE JOHN H. JACKSON SCHOLARSHIP – Students who major in any academic area with at least a GPA of 3.25. Outside community activities are required such as church, Free and Accepted Masons Prince Hall Affiliation, NAACP, Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Palace of Children. Recipients must also be members of a social organization (church) and residents of Mississippi. To maintain the award, recipients have to keep a 3.25 GPA.

STEVE LUSE TEACHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP – The recipient is selected on the basis of need, scholarly performance, and critical manpower areas. Applicants must have maintained a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0. Entering freshmen must have a composite ACT score of 20 or more. Preference is given to high school graduates of a public school in Attala, Leake, Scott, or Yazoo counties. Applicants must demonstrate good character and a commitment to holding a teaching assignment in a public elementary, middle, or high school in Mississippi.

THURGOOD MARSHALL SCHOLARSHIPS – Students who are qualified to for the scholarship must provide the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund with a 5X8 black and white or color photo of the scholarship recipient for the Fund to use for publicity purposes. Must maintain a current and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
TOM JOYNER SCHOLARSHIPS – While funds are available these scholarships help to pay the last few dollars to stay in school or to buy books at the ASU bookstore.
VICKSBURG HOSPITAL MEDICAL FOUNDATION – Nursing and pre-medicine majors including 2nd year pre-nursing students; 3.0 GPA; need; good moral character and leadership ability. Preferred students are of Claiborne, Issaquena, Sharkey and Warren counties in Mississippi; and Madison and Tensas parishes in Louisiana. Recipients are encouraged to consider establishing a professional career in the Vicksburg, MS area. Selections are made by department faculty.
THE VISION GROUP ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must have a 2.8 GPA and be enrolled in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) program. Recipient must also participate in extracurricular activities, social organizations and/or community service. Recipient must be a U.S. citizen.
VOGUE SOCIALITE CLUB, INC. SCHOLARSHIP – Major in Family and Consumer Sciences; need; GPA of 3.0 in major courses and 2.0 overall; loyalty and cooperation to the department and the university; dedication to the profession.
